(glimpses) – days like these

how is it that summer once stretched out with many, long days …

and now all those places not so near, but still not so far are blending together …

 

even on cue,  the nights are already cooling and the fan that sat steady-fast in the open window has been turned off and on the stove a little bit of magic …. as an early glimpse of autumn color sits on my kitchen counter …

but even with summer vacation just ended…. a few more days of late summer might sill be here
